Clean house = Clear mind

Arriving home after an amazing weekend celebrating love, friendship & marriage, I have so many ideas flowing through my head.  Trying to focus on where to start this new journey was a bit overwhelming, thinking about all the different things I wanted to do and try and even the idea of starting a list was too much. When I walked threw the door of my house I knew exactly where I needed to start, there!

The idea of having a clean, organized and purposefully designed home and office isn’t a new concept, but it isn’t always that easy. I’m the type of person who would rather have fun, see friends, try something new or work out rather then doing the same old same old. I know I’m great at doing things when others are around, but can be pretty mediocre when I’m alone, as by this I mean starting and finishing the dishes, laundry, organizing…

I have a deadline of today by 630 (I’m babysitting my friend’s daughter) to have the inside of my house spotless, reorganized and ready for the next step.  This will happen and then tomorrow I will attack the garden and gutters. Earlier this week my brother and I talked about the power that procrastination can bring to solving problems and pushing creativity, but procrastinating on the day to day items ends up being way more work in the end.

Achieving big goals is also about achieving small ones along the way. Only three days left till this all becomes official. Lets see how many bags of give away i can gather together.

Please leave me tips or tricks on what you do to keep your home or office organized.
